Half Cash

Starts with $650, but all income is halved. Bloon pops pay half, farms earn half, end-of-round bonuses halved. Tight economy.

The build at a glance

Half Cash is the economy challenge. You start with the same $650, but every bloon popped pays half and every Banana Farm pays half. You can never have enough money.

The strategy: delay everything. Buy cheap towers, save every dollar, and only upgrade when absolutely necessary. Spike Factory is the meta โ€” Spikes don't cost money per spike, they generate over time.

Step by step

Round 0

Gwen's heat-it-up gives you damage for free, which is what you need when you can't afford upgrades.

Rounds 1-15

Place a 0-0-0 Dart Monkey. Don't upgrade. Save every dollar.

Rounds 16-25

Add a 0-0-0 Bomb Shooter to 1-0-0 (Bigger Bombs) by round 24. Bare minimum for ceramic rush.

Rounds 26-40

Place a 0-0-0 Spike Factory to 2-0-0 by round 35. Spikes are your main DPS โ€” they generate for free.

Rounds 41-55

Add 0-0-0 Tack to 0-2-0 (Faster Shooting). Save aggressively for...

Rounds 56-75

3-0-0 Spike Factory (MOAB Press) by round 70. This is your MOAB killer.

Rounds 76-100

Spike to 4-0-0 (Spike Storm) by round 95. Use Gwen's level 20 ability on round 100 BAD.

Spike Factory is the secret weapon

Spike Factory generates spikes for free over time. In Half Cash, this is huge โ€” you don't need to spend money on every spike, you just wait. The 3-0-0 (MOAB Press) and 4-0-0 (Spike Storm) are the strongest MOAB damage in the game per dollar.

Common mistakes

  • Buying Banana Farms. They earn half, so they're terrible here. Skip them.
  • Upgrading too fast. The whole point of Half Cash is patience.
  • Ignoring the Spike Factory. It's the only tower that scales well with limited cash.
