The default mode. Good for learning a new map or trying out a hero. You can lose 200 lives and resell towers freely.
Best start: Dart Monkey + Boomerang
EasySame rules as Easy but balloons are tougher. 150 lives. Still resells allowed.
Best start: Dart Monkey + Bomb Shooter
MediumCeramic rushes from round 24+. 100 lives. Forces you to think about MOAB damage and grouping.
Best start: Bomb Shooter + Dartling
HardNo continues, no selling, no losing. 1 life from round 100 onward. The real test of a build.
Best start: Sniper + Sub + Ace
ExpertNo continues, no selling, no income, no powers, no knowledge, 1 life, $0 start. The hardest standard mode. Black borders are earned here.
Best start: Sniper + Village + Tack
HardOnly Primary towers (Dart, Boomerang, Bomb, Tack, Ice, Glue, Desperado). No Military, Magic, or Support.
Best start: Bomb Shooter + Tack
HardOnly Military towers (Sniper, Sub, Buccaneer, Ace, Heli, Mortar, Dartling). Heavy hitters, but no village buffs or farms.
Best start: Sniper + Mortar
HardOnly Magic towers (Wizard, Super, Ninja, Alchemist, Druid, Mermonkey). Lots of damage, but no farm income.
Best start: Druid + Wizard
ExpertOnly Support (Banana Farm, Spike Factory, Village, Engineer, Beast Handler). The "trick" mode โ you basically can't pop Camo without Beast Handler.
Best start: Banana Farm + Spike Factory
HardStarts with $650 instead of $650, but all income is halved. Farms earn half, pops pay half. Tight economy.
Best start: Dart Monkey + Bomb
HardAll MOAB-class balloons have double HP. Bloons are normal. Brutal for late-game MOAB rushes.
Best start: Bomb Shooter + Sniper
ExpertAfter round 40, all normal bloons are replaced with CHADs (purple, 75 HP, fast). Massively favors grouped damage.
Best start: Bomb Shooter + Mortar
HardEach round sends a completely different bloon type than normal. Some rounds are trivial, others brutal.
Best start: Sniper + Ace
ExpertMassive boss fights at rounds 40, 60, 80, 100, 120. Each boss has unique mechanics. Tier 5 towers are mandatory.
Best start: Sniper + Super Monkey + Dartling
ExpertA gauntlet of 3-5 maps with custom rules. Each Odyssey has a theme (no farms, only certain towers, etc.). Read the rules before placing.

HardPvP tile-capture mode. Send bloons to opponents, defend your own tiles with limited tower slots. Different meta entirely.
Best start: Sniper + Bomb + Farm
MediumFinish round 100 as fast as possible. No continues. Skip waves you can't pop โ pure speedrun.
