Each round sends a completely different bloon type than normal. Some rounds are trivial, others brutal. No way to predict.

The build at a glance

Alternate Bloons Rounds (ABR) is unpredictable. Round 13 might send 200 Zebras, round 14 might send 30 Fortified Camo Regrows. You need a build that handles everything.

The meta: Sniper for grouped + camo, Village for camo + buffs, Bomb for ceramic + MOAB, Dartling for pierce, Ninja for everything else. This is essentially the Impoppable build with a Dartling instead of a Spike Factory.

Step by step

Round 0

Etienne โ€” his drone gives global coverage and level 20 UAV is the round 100 win button.

Rounds 1-10

Place Sniper (0-0-0) by round 3. Get 2-0-0 by round 10.

Rounds 11-20

Place 0-0-0 Village by round 14. Camo is unavoidable in ABR.

Rounds 21-35

Save through every round. ABR is unpredictable but mostly manageable with a strong Sniper + Village core.

Rounds 36-50

Place 0-0-0 Bomb Shooter to 2-0-0 by round 50. Add a Dartling to 2-0-0.

Rounds 51-70

Sniper to 4-0-0 (Deadly Precision) by round 60. Bomb to 4-0-0.

Rounds 71-100

Sniper to 4-0-2. Dartling to 4-0-0 (MAD). Use Etienne's level 20 on round 100.

ABR's most common failure: camo rushes

ABR has a high chance of sending camo rushes randomly. The Village's 0-2-0 (Monkey Intelligence Bureau) crosspath gives your towers camo detection for free. Don't skip it.

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the Village. Camo rushes will come, and without camo detection, you'll leak.
  • Upgrading to 4-0-0 Sniper before round 50. The early game is mostly normal bloons โ€” save the cash.
  • Going 0-2-0 Sniper first. 1-0-0 is the path to 4-0-0.
